After a few curious events, I decided I was well overdue to update my DA journal.

Still no new deviations, I must apologise, it is not that my muse is dead, just that it burns bright when I'm far too occupied with other things.

And to outline, the main theme of this journal are the core tenents, the outlined beliefs I hold dearer to my heart than anyone or anything else. I know without these, I'd be just another lost soul, wondering the World. They will the gap in my psyche where religious beliefs would go, as I am personally anti-religious (not actively or massively though) and yet we all need something to believe.

The core tenets are simple and efficient in design, their complexicity comes from when they are used, as they intervene in near enough every facet of every action I could ever opt to take, and since I'm always thinking about things, I dont always have my eye on the ball and sometimes let my subconcious take over for rudimentary actions and much to my delight, it would appear my own subciousness has taken my tenets to heart as well, meaning I can't possibly take a step out of line.

The tenets are as follows:
Ignorance is Sin - Every negative thought, deed and action stems from ignorance. It might end in something different, but ignorance is always the root of discontent and strife and as such, it is sin, pure and potent.

Denial is Heresy - Everything is possible, nothing can be denied so long as it has some kind of belief or proof backing it up. To deny something is to give up, and with the power and potentcy of a human being, I can't rationalise denying myself anything I can and desire to achieve.

Lies are Corruption - Lies are a cancer, a plague on the soul. You do it once, get away with it, and are convinced it is right and safe to do it again and yet, the amount of times I've been caught lying, and the severity of the punishments involved have taught me it is the opposite. Lies are not to be needed nor resorted to, no matter the issue.

Knowledge is Holy - I can already predict the outrage this would cause if revealed to enough people. But in truth, I have seen nothing from religion except conspirative whispers to a deity that may or may not exist and certainly doesnt like much to intervene with us mere mortals, as such, I've ripped the word 'holy' off of its discomforting throne and brought it back to where it really belongs.

Knowledge has spawned everything. Every language, every idea, every action, every belief, everything in existance beyond nature. As such, it is only right and fair to label it as a true form of holiness. We would be nothing without it.

Clarity is Sacred - The ability to see with true sight, to see and know things above and beyond the average individual, to observe, to judge, to contemplate, to evaluate. Clarity leads to this and more, as such, I would consider it sacred, not least of all because of the knowledge required to add to the level of clarity held from my perspective.

Truth is Divinity - I can appreciate the irony, truly, in the use of religious terms to refer to non religious concepts, but I hold them in that high a regard, where one seeks God, I seek Truth. It is an everburning light in a World filled with ignorance, and behind my eyes, in my meaty sponge of a brain, it reigns true, influencing me every second, allowing me to adjust, evaluate, assess, improve. The burden of telling the Truth may have once weighed down upon me, but now, there is no such thing, I am free of embarassment, of fear, shame, guilt, this and more, for I accept who I truly am, and share it with all those interested.

In my eyes, only Truth is divine. Only Truth can be divine. It has given me everything religion claims it can and more, it has enlightened me for years and will continue to do so for the rest of my life, it has taken me above and beyond what I hoped to see and understand, and as such, it has my devotion.

And on that note, I draw this journal to a close. You too should give it a try, the next time an awkward question goes your way, dont be tempted to lie, tell the truth, be honest, and see what results, and maybe you too could one day see why I believe as I do.
